What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, check, Venmo, and ApplePay.
What hours do you schedule consultations and lessons?
I schedule appointments Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. However, I do accommodate those with exceptional circumstances by scheduling a Saturday appointment, if needed.
How much does dog training cost?
All consultations cost $150. An individual dog training lesson for either obedience or behavior modification costs $130, and a package of 5 lessons costs $600. If you have a second dog who needs training, the second dog’s rate is 50% off.
Where do dog training lessons take place?
Lessons take place in your home, where behavioral issues occur and where dog training matters most. Lessons can also take place in your neighborhood, at a park, or another Raleigh location if your dog needs helps with socialization, pulls on walks, or is reactive towards people/dogs he or she sees on walks.
What does Pedogogy mean?
Pedogogy is a variation of the teaching term “pedagogy,” which means the principles and methods of instruction, the art and science of teaching.
How many dog training lessons will I need?
The number of lessons you will need depends on many factors, which I will discuss with you during your consultation.
How much time do I have to spend training my dog each day?
There is no set or required time. Instead, incorporate training into your daily routine, as needed. Remember, though, the adage that “practice makes perfect”; the more you practice reinforcing good behaviors in your dog, the more habitual they will become.
When should I start training my puppy or dog?
The sooner, the better. Although I train puppies as young as eight weeks old, it’s never too late to train a dog, but it may take longer.
Do you work with all breeds?
Yes, I work with all breeds, purebred and mixed. I especially LOVE working with “bully breeds,” German shepherds, and other maligned and misunderstood breeds.
Do you guarantee results?
No. Dogs are animals, not appliances. Although I can’t guarantee that you will see results in a given timeframe or that your dog’s behavior will change to the extent that you want, I will guarantee that I will do whatever I can to help you and your dog.
